WHO IS THE COURSE FOR?

The course is for people who like making cards and would like to learn how to make silk paper and decorate it with some free machine embroidery.

WHAT IS THE COURSE ABOUT?

The course is about making small pieces of silk paper and creating texture in the paper by trapping threads, silk tops and pieces of fabric. Some simple  free machine embroidery is stitched onto the paper before embellishing with beads and sequins and turning it into a card.  Samples will be shown and techniques clearly demonstrated allowing everyone to make their own personalised creations

WHAT CAN BE ACHIEVED?

Students will learn how to make silk paper and see different ways in which it can be decorated.  This will lead to a variety of cards being completed on the day.
