The Bernina Coverstitch Foot

The Coverstitch foot is specifically designed for coverstitch applications on compatible BERNINA and bernette sergers. The sole of the Coverstitch foot is flat, and has two or three needle openings, depending on the BERNINA serger model. The Coverstitch foot sews industry standard hems, seams, and bindings. This BERNINA presser foot is also ideal for decorative sewing projects. Two spring-loaded “floating toes” – one on each side of the foot – guide the fabric, preventing sideways movement and compensating for different fabric thicknesses. The Coverstitch foot lets you sew neat folded edges and ribbing in no time flat. This versatile foot can also be used to apply trim and attach elastic.
