Box Feed – JUKI Industrial Sewing Machine Technology

JUKI's industrial BOX Feed technology has been incorporated into this home sewing machine.

The BOX Feed system helps produce high-quality, consistent stitches across a wide range of fabrics. It keeps the fabric in contact with the feed dogs for longer, helping to provide a smooth, reliable feed and consistent seams.

Straight Stitch Slide Plate

Simply slide the front lever to switch to a single needle hole.

This is particularly useful when sewing lightweight fabrics, helping to prevent the fabric from being pushed down into the needle hole. It is also ideal for precise free-motion sewing.

When the single needle plate is engaged, only straight-stitch patterns can be selected.

Float Function – Prevents Uneven Seams

By pressing the float button, you can sew with the presser foot slightly raised.

This allows you to sew multiple layers of fabric without compressing the layers excessively, helping to prevent uneven seams and improve fabric handling.

Easily Create Buttonholes

The buttonhole sensor system provides optimum fabric feeding for a range of materials.

The one-step buttonhole function measures the button and automatically sews evenly on both the right and left sides, following the optimum sequence for a neat, professional finish.

Foot Controller Functions

The Juki HZL-DX7 offers enhanced versatility through its programmable foot controller.

Functions can be assigned to the heel side of the foot controller, allowing you to lift the presser foot, trim threads, sew a reverse stitch or sew a single stitch simply by pressing with your heel.

This gives you greater control and allows you to customise the machine to suit the way you sew.

Presser Foot Pivot Function

When you stop sewing, the needle stops in the down position and the presser foot automatically lifts, allowing you to move and reposition the fabric with ease.

This is particularly useful when sewing corners and pivoting. When you resume sewing, the presser foot automatically lowers for smooth, continuous sewing.

This function can also be switched off.

Presser Foot Lift After Thread Trimming

After automatic thread trimming, the presser foot can automatically lift, allowing you to remove your fabric quickly and easily.

This function can also be switched off.

Adjustable Starting and Reverse Stitch Speed

Choose from three speed settings — fast, normal or slow — for starting and reverse stitching.

Lock Stitch

At the beginning and end of your sewing, you can choose between two types of securing stitch: Reverse Stitch or Lock Stitch.

When sewing a pattern, pressing the Lock Stitch button will cause the machine to stop after completing one full pattern cycle.

Low-Speed Inching Sewing

Press and hold the Needle Up/Down button to sew at a very slow speed.

This is ideal for sewing corners, precise stops and starts where greater control is required.

High-Speed Straight Stitch Sewing

With a maximum straight-stitch sewing speed of 1,050 stitches per minute, the HZL-DX7 allows you to sew quickly when required.

Knee-Lifting Lever

The presser foot can be raised and lowered using the convenient knee-lifting lever.

The lever provides up to 0.5" (12 mm) of presser foot lift. When the presser foot is raised to its maximum height, you can also switch from automatic operation using the button to manual operation using the knee lever.

Automatic Needle Threader

Threading the needle is quick and easy. Simply place the thread into the guide and lower the lever to thread the needle with one hand.

Bobbin Winder with Independent Motor

The independent bobbin-winding motor makes preparing your bobbin quick and convenient.

Simply wind the thread around the bobbin and pass it through the appropriate guide. Once winding is complete, the built-in cutter makes it easy to cut the thread.

Quick Bobbin Preparation

Preparing the bobbin is simple. Just follow the threading guide and there is no need to pull up the bobbin thread before sewing.

Elongation Pattern Function

Change the overall length of selected stitch patterns without altering the stitch density.

Free-Motion Sewing

Lower the feed dogs at the flick of a switch and enjoy free-motion sewing using both straight stitch and specialised zigzag stitches.

The presser foot height can also be adjusted to allow the fabric to move freely beneath the foot, giving you greater control and freedom when creating free-motion designs.
