The Bernina Hook

At the heart of the Bernina 7 Series is an innovative, centrally positioned drive mechanism that allows the Bernina Hook to operate quickly and quietly.

The Bernina Hook produces precise stitches up to 5.5 mm wide at speeds of up to 1,000 stitches per minute. Its bobbin holds up to 70% more thread than standard bobbins, allowing you to sew for longer without interruption.

Extended freearm for larger projects

The Bernina 7 Series features a carefully engineered extended freearm, providing 10 inches of space to the right of the needle.

The Bernina 720 offers plenty of room for larger sewing projects and, with its 5.5 mm stitch width, is ideal for creating beautiful decorative stitching. Smaller tasks, such as inserting zips, can also be completed with precision.

As your sewing skills and ambitions develop, the Bernina 720 can be enhanced with a range of optional accessories. For example, the Bernina Stitch Regulator (BSR) helps maintain consistent stitch lengths during free-motion sewing and quilting, regardless of how quickly you move the fabric.

Total stitch control

All Bernina 7 Series models offer an exceptional level of stitch control. Whether you adjust the stitch length, stitch width or needle position, the machine remembers your settings for each stitch.

Your preferred settings can be saved and recalled whenever needed. The USB connection also allows you to import and export stitches, stitch patterns and combinations, giving you greater flexibility and creative freedom.

Semi-automatic needle threader

The Bernina 720 is designed to make sewing more convenient. The presser foot automatically lowers at the start of a seam and lifts at the end, while the machine can cut the thread automatically at the end of a seam or when changing colours.

An extension table is also included, providing additional workspace for handling larger sewing projects with ease.

Bernina Adaptive Thread Tension

Bernina Adaptive Thread Tension is an innovative feature that automatically adjusts the thread tension to suit the selected stitch.

The tension is electronically regulated according to the stitch width, stitch length, sewing speed and needle position each time the needle penetrates the fabric. The result is beautifully balanced stitching without the need for constant manual adjustments.

Embroider beautifully and with ease

The versatile Bernina 720 also offers embroidery capabilities when fitted with the optional embroidery module.

You can switch to embroidery mode directly via the touchscreen, making it easy to position, mirror, rotate and resize designs. Finished designs can be saved directly to the machine or to a USB stick, while additional designs can be imported through the USB port.

The Check function allows you to position your design accurately before starting to embroider, helping you achieve precise, professional-looking results.
